UPDATE ON OPERATIONAL RESTRICTIONS DURING THE MOVEMENT CONTROL ORDER
We have received circulars from the Association of Malaysian Hauliers (AMH), Selangor Freight Forwarder & Logistics Association (SFFLA), Federation of Malaysian Manufacturers (FMM) that we are only allowed to render our services to customers whose company falls under the essential services list.
|1. Food and beverage items including imported items
· Vegetable and animal oils and fats
· Flour and All Grain Mill Products
· Dairy products – milk, infant formula
· Condiments and Spices
· Dry food such as instant noodles, etc
· Coffee and tea
· Canned food
· Animal feed
· Processing of fruits and vegetable
|2. Agriculture and fisheries including imports
· Fish and Seafood
|3. Household products
· Personal care items
· Toilet paper and tissue paper
|4. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) including Fire Safety Equipment and Medical Attire including face mask, rubber gloves, etc
|5. Pharmaceutical – all chemicals and drugs production
|6. Packaging materials and printing including ink
|7. Medical and surgical devices
|8. Parts for medical devices eg. parts for ventilators

We will be unable to perform any deliveries for companies whose services are not listed above.

UPDATE ON HOW MULTI-TRANS IS SUPPORTING OUR CLIENTS DURING THE MOVEMENT CONTROL ORDER
In light of the announcement of the Movement Control Order (18-31st March 2020) by the Malaysian government, we would like to update all relevant parties on our current state of work.
Multi-Trans being the total logistics service provider falls under the exempted essential list of Transportation business; we therefore will be operating our business as usual. According to Selangor Freight Forwarders & Logistics Association (SFFLA)’s advisory circular, the Government Agencies, Customs, Terminals, Shipping Agencies and other related bodies are also in operations. As part of the supply chain partner, we will continue to support since the port services is deemed to be essential services to the economy of the nation.
Nevertheless, we anticipate some delay in operations and workflow due to potential unforeseen factors. In the case of emergency, we urge you to contact our direct correspondent, whether it is Operations or Sales personnel in-charge.
As a responsible employer, Multi-Trans has taken the initiative to start a work-from-home operation on a rotational basis. We believe this will reduce the risks and to take into account the wellbeing of our staffs. We strive our level best to ensure our operation functions as per usual. However, should there be difference in our service level, we seek your patience and assistance to highlight to us so that we can address them immediately. It is our desire to work hand-in-hand with our clients to get through this difficult period.
We understand that the Movement Control Order may have also created inconveniences to your business operation and we appreciate if you can advise us whether your esteemed company has plans to temporary shut down your operations from 18th March to 31st March 2020. If yes, we wish to inform that potential delay charges may incur which you would have to bear accordingly. Please understand we will not accept any claim charges for demurrage, storage, detention and any other charges incurred during this period.
